Out of the box, brave is probably better, but if you do a bit of configuration, i think firefox wins by quite a bit in terms of security and privacy, and a lot in terms of convenience and performance. I strongly dislike most of brave's ethos but as a browser, it seems to be going in a constructive direction, unlike firefox, which is having parts stripped out of it, bit by bit, as the mozilla ceo guzzles more money and tries to minimise the number of people she has to pay
That's my rationalisation for using brave over firefox.
